Ethiopian Coffee
Ethiopian coffee, recognized as the birthplace of Arabica coffee in Kaffa, southwest Ethiopia, has a rich history that spans centuries. Celebrated for its diverse flavors and unique varieties, Ethiopia offers a rich tapestry of coffee experiences, ranging from the floral notes of Yirgacheffe to the fruity profiles of Sidamo, and the spicy, winey notes of Bench Maji. Notably, Gesha Coffee first originated in the Shey Bench District of southwest Ethiopia before it was taken to other regions of the world in the early 1930s.
Ethiopia’s coffee culture is deeply rooted in its traditions, with coffee ceremonies playing a vital role in social gatherings. As demand for specialty coffee continues to grow globally, Ethiopian coffee stands out for its commitment to quality and sustainability. By supporting local farmers and cooperatives, we honor the legacy of Ethiopian coffee while promoting economic development and environmental stewardship.
